The Grass is always greener on the other side

Over St. Patrick’s day we tested out a slick way to die food like rice and pasta bold bright colors!

Our green turned out a bit bolder than I had intended but when Thumper does the honors all bets are off. 🙂  To create our beautiful green rice we simply added a few     several   many drops of food coloring to the water.  Then as the rice cooked it sucked in the water and lovely coloring.

I am thinking this summer we shall have a Wacky Wednesday party and have multicolored pasta.  Could be fun?  Anyone want to join us?

Our sneaky leprechaun also left us gold bars this year!  (too bad they turned out to be Rice Krispie treats) 🙂

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
