Spooktacular Fun!

The last week has been a whirlwind of birthday’s, Halloween fun and family happenings.  So today’s post is mostly a miscellaneous wrap up of life around here.

This Halloween I learned a few valuable lessons

1.  That my youngest is indeed old enough to voice an opinion about what costume he wants. (Unfortunately it was AFTER sewing him a ninja turtle costume that yes went unused)

2.  Mr Potato head parts are an amazing alternative for the child who wants to decorate a pumpkin but has a new aversion to pumpkin guts.

3.  My husband and I rock as sewing team to create our own patterns.  I couldn’t have envisioned the ninja turtle idea without him.  (he also has mad shell cutting skills I will have to post about another time.  Someday we might get around to posting the tutorial)

4.  Everything in life is cooler with a mask on.
