October is here! (ready or not!)
Today I am sharing a round up of sorts of a few of our favorite Halloween activities.
Halloween Trick or Treat – we LOVE this game! To play each person draws a card and performs the task given in order to get a treat. Tasks include “cackling like a witch” and ” Roll like a pumpkin” If you are lucky you will simply draw the “treat” card – no acting for you. If you want print your own copy simply click on the pictures to be taken to Prepared Not Scared. (she has many other fun holiday games as well!) This is a favorite anytime we have a few minutes during the month of October the kids never seem to get tired of it.
Next up one of the munchkins favorite Halloween books:
Spooky Hour by Toni Milton and illustrated by Guy Parker-Rees. The pictures are bright and fun with a rhyming text. We also love all the descriptive words that bring you right into the story and fun.
October 1st also means the start of this CD being played constantly in the car and house!
Truth be told my kids sing the songs all year round but the CD only comes out in October. (Yes there are tears November 1st when I box it up)
Our favorites include:
#39 The witches Stew
#40 The Popcorn ball
#47 Thump Thump Thump
To hear a sample of the songs you can click HERE then click on the numbers to hear a snippet of the song.
Do you have a favorite Halloween activity or book? I would love to hear about it. We are always on the look out for some new Halloween fun! Perhaps I will do a post featuring a few later in the month.
Hope you have a marvelous Monday thanks for stopping in!
