Fun school chalkboard check.
Now something new for school. This year Purplicious and I decided to try our hand at re-purposing 2 of her FAVORITE dresses that had grown too short.
It was quick and easy and she LOVED it!
Here is a quick run through of what I did.
1. Cut dress just below the arms as straight as possible. (Side note after the fact I discovered it might have been helpful to somehow mark the front from back of your skirt!)
2. Fold fabric over to form a casing for the elastic and sew around skirt leaving an opening.
3. Thread elastic measured to desired waist length into casing.
4. Sew elastic and casing.
